Listen, when the days are long and hot, the last thing you want to do is turn on the oven, or even the grill. When you’re not in the mood to cook, but you’re craving a delicious and easy dinner, this is your girl. Nothing beats the combo of crusty bread smothered in butter, thinly sliced radishes and flaky salt. That’s literally it. That’s the recipe. Sure, you can top with arugula and drizzle with balsamic glaze, but these three ingredients stand alone and get the job done. *Pro tip: Share with friends and your favorite beverage on the porch.

Ingredients

• 1 baguette (we like Rebel Bread’s Nonna G Sourdough, but any baguette will do)

• Good quality butter, room temperature (go for the Kerrygold here and we use salted but you can choose unsalted since we’re topping with salt)

• 2 teaspoons flaky sea salt, like Maldon or if you’re feeling fancy      Barrier Islands Finishing Salt found at Modern Nomad

• 2 bunches radishes, washed, trimmed and thinly sliced

Directions

Slice the baguette lengthwise and then crosswise, creating four quarters. Spread butter. Pile sliced radishes on each quarter and top with finishing salt. You can add arugula, chives, or jalapeños. Get creative or keep it simple.
