The Botanical Bakery of Denver is opening its doors inside a longtime garden store favorite, Birdsall & Co., on September 9th.

The press and public are invited to the grand opening weekend, September 9th – 11th from 8am – 4pm, where complimentary floral cookies and drinks will be served. Singer-songwriter Tricia Fox will be playing a live set on Saturday the 10th from 10am -12pm.

Owned by Dylah Ray, the bakery will be taking over 600+ square feet of Birdsall & Co., providing guests a place to enjoy colorful botanical pastries surrounded by plants in a relaxing atmosphere. From intricately latticed pies adorned with edible flowers exploding with color, to classic shortbread and black & white cookies with a botanical twist, the bakery integrates natural beauty into all of its unique designs. Also carrying the classics like chocolate croissants, and serving espresso drinks from a plant-adorned barista bar, the bakery could quickly become a neighborhood favorite.

Owner of Birdsall & Co., Annie Huston, says “It’s been a dream of ours to have exactly this type of bakery in Birdsall. It is fate that is actually happening now and is so well executed. We couldn’t be more overjoyed!”

The shop also carries a variety of small gifts, jewelry, and botanically-themed merchandise, all locally-produced in Colorado, heavily featuring women artists.

The store will host regular community workshops, and this Fall is hosting classes such as flower arranging, cookie decorating, houseplants 101 and a welcoming of the Fall equinox.
