This month’s cover asks an important question. What if the universe was trying to tell you something? How would you attempt to answer? Since March, many of us have taken this time to look at our way of life and question how we got to this place. When faced with the unwelcomed break of our structured schedules, lives, and relationships, we look inward to find clarity.

At the beginning of COVID there was this ideal being shared, that we are all in this together. It offered a glimmer of hope for only a second, before we made the harsh realization that no, we are not all in this together. We are all having deeply different responses to this pandemic. We don’t need to spell out the very long list of what makes our situations unique. It’s not lost on us that we are coming from a place of privilege. But it is only when we identify this privilege that we can even begin to learn how to do the work that needs to be done, in an effort to help heal the oppressed. We think the universe is telling us to fight. Fight for our environment and disrupt racial injustice, or any injustice for that matter. Speak up when we see discrimination of any form, yet know when to stop talking and listen. Get educated and use our own platforms to inform, and make tangible progress.

“If you’re not sure how to respond, listen. If you’re not sure what to read, research. If you’re not sure what to do, donate. “Not sure” becomes “not my problem.” It’s not enough to be “not sure’ when racism is still taking lives. “ – Ruby PH

Above all, learn to embrace the courage rising inside and use your voice for good, no matter how uncomfortable that might make you.
