This month we feature the beautiful work of Tya Alisa Anthony on our cover. Tya is an interdisciplinary artist and curator who explores themes of social justice, human rights, and identity. Combining photography, collage and sculpture, she re-imagines histories to create autonomous spaces for bodies of color. Her Organic Tarot series exhibition will be on view in the Freyer – Newman Center at the Denver Botanic Gardens now through the beginning of April.

We would also like to introduce you to Kaeleigh Testwuide, owner of The Diamond Reserve. She has made her mark in a male-dominated industry and has solidified her position as a leader in her field.

This month’s center-spread shines a light on the music and artistic journey of Denver’s Allison Lorenzen. She explores a minimalist approach in her new solo work. Her debut release, Tender, is definitely an album to seek out but be warned you may  fall in love with it.

It brings us so much joy to continue to deliver a selection of positive stories in hopes that you learn more about our beloved city and the people who make Denver what it is today. Thank you for continuing to read and support local. Happy February!

Sam and Shaleen DeStefano
