OCTOBER 1 – NOVEMBER 6 – RedLine’s Project Space

Join Alto Gallery in collaboration with RedLine Contemporary Art Center for the opening reception of Memento Amore featuring works by RedLine resident artist Vinni Alfonso. Memento Amore is about the process of intentional memory making while staying grounded in the present. Alfonso invites us to question how we navigate the saturation of information and provocation of our daily lives while securing space for quiet, personal moments . Through repetition of gesture and color, this body of work creates a sensation of vastness that is both larger than us and holds us in the moment. Our minds endlessly wrestle with internal and external narratives, trying to make sense of our experiences so we can make sense of ourselves. Like the stages of grief, Alfonso explores how personal growth involves both letting go and the opportunity to begin anew. Alfonso was born in and currently works in Denver, CO. He graduated with a BFA from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in 2012. Alfonso was a resident artist with Helikon Gallery. OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, 6 – 9 PM
