“We can have a world of peace. We can move toward a world where we live in harmony with nature. Where we live in harmony with each other. No matter what nation we come from. No matter what our religion. No matter what our culture. This is where we’re moving towards.” – Jane Goodall
We have always loved Jane Goodall for her mission and vision of deeply caring for our environment, and also for each other. Right now, this ideal feels both urgent and frankly, a little out of reach. Division is easy to see and it’s harder than ever to feel steady in our own communities.
This month, instead of telling you what we think, we want to hear from you. How are you coping with the tension, the noise, the uncertainty? What moments, people, or practices
help you find calm or connection? What do you want to see more of from your neighbors, your neighborhood, or your city right now?
Your voices will shape the conversations we continue to have in the months ahead. Because harmony isn’t something one person can build alone, it’s something we discover together, through listening, sharing and showing up for one another in ways big and small.
This October, we’re opening a space for stories, questions and ideas. We hope you’ll join us.
Your neighbors,
Shaleen and Sam DeStefano
