“No one is traveling perfectly.

We all hold both strength and struggle.

Even the ones who seem to be the most prepared are learning new things along the way.

So when you feel overwhelmed by the unknowns, ask, What can I learn here?”

– Morgan Harper Nichols

From day one, it has been our intention to deliver feel-good news to your doorstep each month, by consistently introducing you to your neighbors, local artists, musicians and organizations whose sole intention is to make a difference. We’ve never viewed ourselves as a “journalistic” magazine that brings hard hitting news. Nor did we intend

to ever allow ourselves to discuss political issues. But for those of you who’ve been reading for the last 5 years, you know that it’s nearly impossible for us to be complicit. We are unapologetically ourselves and stand firmly for inclusivity and kindness. We believe in a community that strives to lift one another up not just in dark times. And if we’ve learned anything from this passion project, it’s that the amount of goodness around us is immense. If you know someone who deserves to be in the spotlight, or have a story to share with us, we’d love to hear from you. In the meantime, we hope this issue brings you joy.

Your neighbors,

Sam and Shaleen DeStefano
